A break from the norm

I couldn't think of anything to write until I found these photos. They were taken in different places in the Philippines: Tagaytay, Bolinao and Zambales.

The views are sooo amazing. I just can't help myself not to share these with you all.

First stop... POTIPOT, ZAMBALES

Potipot Island, also referred to as "Putipot" or "Pulipo". Approximately 1km from Uacon, Candelaria, Zambales. Uacon is about 46km north of Iba, the capital of Zambales and 240+km from Manila by road.

Locals are very friendly and accommodative. Visitors usually stay at the resorts on the mainland. "Dawal" is the most popular resort here according to the guides.

From the mainland, you can hire a banca (small boat) at a rate of 300PhP (6USD) for a round trip. The boat ride from the mainland to Potipot island is approximately five minutes.

Only a few tourists can be spotted which makes the island so peaceful and a perfect place to relax. Some are busy setting up their tents. Some are looking for a shady place to stay, while others already found their spot and taking a nap on a newspaper sheet. As you can tell, there are no houses nor resorts so prepare your beach towels if you're planning to doze off.

Yes, white sand, calm and clear water, and virgin forest. A very beautiful place to spend the day.

Next... TAGAYTAY CITY

Tagaytay (in the province of Cavite) is a popular holiday town south of Manila on the Philippine island Luzon. It is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations because of its outstanding scenery and cooler climate provided by its high altitude. Tagaytay overlooks Taal Lake in Batangas and provides one of the iconic views of the Philippines, the view of Taal Volcano Island in the middle of the lake, viewable from several vantage points in the city. (an excerpt from https://www.tagaytay.gov.ph)

We were on our way to Enchanted Kingdom (a theme park, Philippines' version of Disneyland) when we decided to check out Tagaytay City.

It was a quick tour so I only got a few photos.

BOLINAO, PANGASINAN

Bolinao, a quiet little town in the northwest tip of Pangasinan. It is beautifully surrounded by tropical nature and has fine white sand beaches. There are a couple of beach resorts in Bolinao but you'll have to drive on a rough road for approximately 2 to 3 hours from the city to reach those resorts.

Although we were not able to roam around to check for other views, it was a very pleasant experience to travel together with friends, have fun and capture those wonderful moments. 😊
